Think about it: how often do we see people boasting about their wealth, their status, or their “perfect” lives? Social media amplifies this, but it’s not new. Paul saw it coming 2,000 years ago. And here’s where it gets heavy: this boastful, prideful spirit isn’t just a cultural trend—it’s a spiritual warning sign. When we prioritize self over Elohim, we’re stepping into dangerous territory, drifting from the humility that our Savior Yahshua modeled.

The Heart of the Matter: Why Pride and Boasting Matter

So, why does Yahweh, our Father in heaven, care so much about pride and boasting? Because they’re the opposite of the gospel. The gospel says, “You are loved not because of what you do, but because of what Yahshua the Messiah has done.” Pride says, “I’ve got this on my own.” Boasting says, “Look at me, world!” But Scripture calls us to a different posture: “Let the one who boasts, boast in Yahweh” (1 Corinthians 1:31). Yes, our worth isn’t in our achievements—it’s in being children of Elohim!

In the last days, Paul warns, this self-centeredness will intensify. People will chase their own glory, reject humility, and scoff at Yahweh’s truth. Sound familiar? Just turn on the news or scroll through social media, and you’ll see it: a world obsessed with self, where humility is seen as weakness and boasting is a way of life.

A Call to Humility

But here’s the good news, friends: we don’t have to follow the worldly ways of the many people in the last days. As believers, we’re called to swim against the cultural current. 2 Timothy 3 isn’t just a warning—it’s a wake-up call to live differently! So, how do we do that?

  • Check Your Heart: Are you boasting in Yahweh’s work in your life or in your own strength? Take a moment to reflect. Are your words and actions pointing people to Yahshua or to yourself?
  • Embrace Humility: Yahshua, the King of Kings, washed His disciples’ feet. If He can humble Himself, we can too. Look for ways to serve others without seeking the spotlight.
  • Filter Your Feed: Be mindful of what you consume and share. Are you feeding pride by chasing validation online? Curate your influences to align with Elohim’s truth.
  • Anchor in Scripture: Paul didn’t leave Timothy hanging—he urged him to hold fast to Yahweh’s Word (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Let Scripture shape your perspective, not the world’s applause.

Wrapping It Up: A Challenge for Today

As we navigate these last days, let’s remember that pride and boasting aren’t just personal struggles—they’re signs of a world turning away from Yahweh. But we have a choice. This self-love Paul warns about isn’t just confidence—it’s a mindset where we put ourselves on a pedestal above everything else. Our own needs, our own wants, our own image. Yes, it’s the person who cuts someone off in traffic because their schedule is more important. It’s the coworker who throws others under the bus to climb the corporate ladder. It’s the endless chase for validation, where we’re so focused on our own spotlight that we forget to shine a light on others.

Indeed, what we’re seeing today is a hyper-individualistic society! Studies show that narcissistic traits have risen sharply over the past few decades, especially among younger generations. Social media amplifies this—it’s like a megaphone for self-obsession. People are wired to seek approval, but when that approval becomes the center of their identity, it drowns out empathy and community.

And it’s not just social media. Think about how we market ourselves—personal brands, self-bios that sound like we’re auditioning for superhero roles. Paul’s warning feels like it was written for 2025, doesn’t it? But here’s the thing: this love of self does not just isolate us; it sets us up for the next part of Paul’s warning, and that is, being lovers of money!

Lovers of Money: The Hustle That Hollows Us

Let’s talk about being “lovers of money.” Now, money itself isn’t evil—bills gotta be paid, right? But Paul’s pointing to a heart issue here, where the pursuit of wealth becomes an idol. And wow, do we see this everywhere. From crypto bros chasing the next big coin to CEOs making millions while workers scrape by, the love of money is like a fever in our world.

Just look at the numbers. In 2024, the global wealth gap widened again—top 1% owning nearly half of the world’s wealth, while billions struggle. Social media posts are buzzing with people flaunting designer bags, private jets, or “hustle culture” mantras like “grind now, shine later.” But at what cost? Paul’s warning isn’t about having money; it’s about loving it, craving it, letting it define your worth.

The love of money is a trap because it promises security but delivers emptiness. I see it in many—people working 80-hour weeks, chasing promotions, but their families are falling apart, their faith is on the back burner. 2 Timothy 3 isn’t just a warning; it’s a wake-up call to realign our priorities with what truly lasts—Yahweh and Yahshua first, then love, family, and community.

How many people in this world have felt that tug? The pressure to “keep up,” to buy the bigger house, the flashier car. But here’s the kicker: the love of self and the love of money feed each other perfectly. When people are obsessed with themselves, they crave the status that money buys. And when they’re chasing money, it’s often to fuel that image of “success” they’ve built in their heads. Yes, it’s a vicious cycle!

Picture this: you’re standing at the crossroads of faith, holding the Bible in one hand and the weight of centuries of tradition in the other. The Bible, the inspired Word of Yahweh, declares in Philippians 2:9 that Yahweh, the Father in heaven, gave His Son a name above all names. A name so powerful, so holy, that every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess its authority. That name, my friends, is Yahshua! Not Jesus. Not some watered-down, man-made translation that’s been passed down like a game of telephone gone wrong. Yahshua—the Hebrew name that carries the very essence of salvation, the name that means “Yahweh is salvation.” This is the name of the Messiah, the Savior of humanity, and we’ve been robbed of its power by a world that’s traded truth for convenience.

Let me set the stage for you. The Messiah was born a Hebrew, raised in a Hebrew culture, and spoke Aramaic and Hebrew. His name, given by divine instruction through the angel Gabriel in Matthew 1:21, was Yahshua—a name rooted in the sacred language of Yahweh’s chosen people. It’s not just a name; it’s a declaration of who He is. “Yah” comes from Yahweh, the eternal name of Elohim, and “shua” means salvation. Every time you say Yahshua, you’re proclaiming that Yahweh Himself is our deliverance. That’s power. That’s divine intentionality. That’s a name that carries the weight of eternity.

Here’s where it gets real: Jesus is not a Hebrew name. It’s not even close. It’s a Greco-Latin invention that’s as common as dirt in some cultures. You know how many people are named Jesus today? It’s like naming the Savior “Mike” or “Chris.” No offense to anyone named Jesus, but the Messiah’s name is not supposed to blend into the crowd! It’s supposed to stand above every name! Adding “Christ” as a surname doesn’t fix it either. “Christ” is a title, not a last name—it means “anointed one,” from the Greek Christos. Yahshua is the Anointed One, not “Jesus Christ” like it’s some generic brand of divinity. The Bible says in Acts 4:12, “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” That name is Yahshua! Not a translation. Not an adaptation. The real, Yahweh-given name.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking: “Does it really matter? It’s just a name!” Well, friends, it matters more than you know. Names in the Bible aren’t just labels—they carry purpose, identity, and power. When Almighty Yahweh changed Abram’s name to Abraham, it wasn’t a whim; it signified his new destiny as the father of many nations. When Jacob became Israel, it marked his transformation as one who wrestles with Elohim. Yahshua’s name is no different. It’s the name that embodies His mission, His divinity, and His authority. To change it is to dilute the very essence of who Savior Yahshua is!

Let’s get practical for a second. Imagine you’re calling on the Savior in a moment of desperation—maybe you’re praying for healing, for deliverance, for a miracle. Are you going to call on a name that’s been mangled by centuries of human meddling, or are you going to call on the name that Yahweh Himself ordained? The name that demons tremble at, that angels rejoice over, that carries the full weight of salvation? I don’t know about you, but I’m calling on Yahshua. There’s a reason the enemy has worked so hard to obscure this name, to replace it with something disguisely common and comfortable! The adversary doesn’t want us tapping into the full power of the Savior’s true identity!

And let’s not ignore the spiritual weight of this. In John 16:23, Yahshua Himself says, “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” Yes, Yahshua’s name—not a translation, not a substitute! The early believers knew this. They baptized in the name of Yahshua. They healed in the name of Yahshua. They preached in the name of Yahshua. But somewhere along the line, tradition and convenience cloud the truth, and it’s time to reclaim it!

So, what do we do with this? First, let’s start speaking the name of Yahshua with boldness and reverence. Let’s honor the Savior by calling Him who He truly is! Second, let’s dig into the Word and the history of our faith. The Bible is clear, and the real truth is there for anyone willing to seek it. And third, let’s share this revelation with others. It is about waking up to the genuine Bible truths and walking in them with passion and purpose!

You’ve heard the stories: near-death experiences, visions, dreams, or some mystical journey where they “saw the light” and came back with a book deal. These folks often get airtime, headlines, and a whole lot of attention. But let’s call it for what it is: publicity stunts, chasing fame, or at worst, straight-up deception for monetary gain, perhaps. But the Bible doesn’t mince words, and neither will we. John 3:13 shuts the door on these bogus claims. Yes, no one has ascended into heaven except Messiah Yahshua. And yes, there are no ifs and buts for this genuine biblical truth, period!

Let’s think about why this matters. When someone claims they’ve been to heaven, they’re not just sharing a false story—they’re challenging the authority of the Bible. But hope built on anything other than Yahweh’s Word is shaky ground. The Bible warns us in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 about itching ears, people craving stories that suit their desires instead of the truth. That’s what’s happening here. These claims of heavenly ascensions? They’re not from Elohim—they’re from a desire for notoriety, fame, or just plain attention!

Let’s double down on the context of John 3:13. Yahshua is talking to Nicodemus, a religious leader who’s trying to wrap his head around spiritual truths. Yahshua is explaining the new birth, the Kingdom of Yahweh, and His own divine authority. When He says, “No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended,” Yahshua’s emphasizing His unique position! He’s not just another prophet or teacher—He’s the Son of Yahweh, the only one with firsthand knowledge of heaven because He came from there. No one else can claim that. So, what do we do with this? First, we anchor ourselves in the Holy Scripture. When someone claims they’ve been to heaven, we don’t get swept up in the hype. We test it against Yahweh’s Word, the Bible. If it doesn’t line up with John 3:13, it’s not truth—it’s fiction! Second, we focus on the real hope: Yahshua Himself. He didn’t just visit heaven; He came from there, lived among us, died for our sins, and rose again to guarantee our eternal future! That’s better than any human made-up story.

Let’s start with that phrase—little flock. It is so tender, isn’t it? When Yahshua the Messiah says this, He’s not addressing a massive crowd of religious elites or the popular, mainstream followers of His day. He’s talking to a small, dedicated group of disciples—ordinary people, fishermen. Yes, they’re folks who were often overlooked by society. These were not the influencers of their time, racking up followers or filling megachurches. No, this little flock was humble, unassuming, and fiercely devoted to the truth Yahshua was teaching.

And here’s the thing—Yahshua doesn’t say “massive herd” or “global congregation.” He says little flock. That’s intentional! It is a clear and powerful reminder that Yahweh’s kingdom is not about numbers, popularity, or worldly clout. But rather, it is about a remnant, a small but faithful group who hear His voice and follow Him, no matter the cost! In a world obsessed with going viral, Yahshua is saying, “My kingdom is for the few who choose the narrow path.”

Now, let’s get real for a second. In today’s world, it’s very easy to think that being part of the heavenly flock means joining the biggest, loudest, or most popular religious movement. You know what I’m talking about—those mainstream groups with polished branding, packed pews, and pastors who are basically looking and sounding like celebrities, if you will. But Yahshua didn’t come for the mainstream. He didn’t chase trends or build a megachurch. He called out to the little flock—those who were willing to stand apart,  to question the status quo, to seek truth over comfort.

I mean, think about it. The religious leaders of Yahshua’s time? They were the mainstream. The Pharisees and Sadducees had the crowds, the rituals, the power. But Yahshua did not cozy up to them. He challenged their traditions, their hypocrisy, their obsession with outward appearances. His little flock was not blindly following the popular religion of the day. They were listening to Him—the Good Shepherd—and that made them different. Very peculiar, even.

So, what does this mean for us today? Well, it is a wake-up call. Being part of Yahweh’s little flock is not about signing up for the most popular church or tagging along with what everyone else is doing. Yes, it is about discernment. It is about you asking yourself, “Am I truly following Yahshua, or am I just going with the flow of what’s comfortable and culturally accepted?” Because let’s be honest—mainstream Christianity and popular religions, with their mega-conferences and social media aesthetics, can sometimes feel more like a brand than a calling.

Yahshua’s words in Luke 12:32 are a promise, though. He says, “Do not be afraid, little flock.” Why? Because the Father in heaven, Yahweh, is pleased to give you the kingdom. That’s huge! You do not need to be big, powerful, or popular to inherit Elohim’s promises. You just need to be obedient and faithful. You just need to be part of that small, devoted group that always hears His voice and follows, even when the world thinks you’re insignificant. Yes, even when you are labeled weird by mainstream Christianity and many other big spiritual groups and popular religions out there..

I love how personal this is. Yahshua the Messiah calls us His flock—like sheep who know their Shepherd’s voice. And in John 10, He says His sheep hear Him and follow Him. That’s the mark of the little flock—not blind allegiance to a system, a denomination, or a tradition, but a living, breathing relationship with the Shepherd Himself. Yes, it is intimate. It is real. And it’s not about being part of the biggest herd; it is about being known by Messiah Yahshua.

So, if you are listening right now, and you are wondering, “Am I part of this little flock?” Here’s my challenge to you: Look at your walk with Yahweh, the Elohim in heaven. Are you chasing His truth, even when it’s unpopular? Are you truly listening to His voice, or are you caught up in the noise of what everyone else is doing? Yes, the little flock is not about fitting in—it is about standing out for all the right reasons. It is about courage, humility, and a relentless pursuit of Savior Yahshua and His genuine teachings over the world’s applause.

Friends, being part of Almighty Yahweh’s little flock is a privilege. It is a call to trust the Shepherd, to embrace the smallness, and to know that the kingdom is yours—not because you are big or powerful, but because the Father delights in you. So, do not be afraid. Stay faithful. Stay true. And keep following the Almighty One, Yahweh, who calls you by name.

Today, we’re tackling a topic that’s stirred up plenty of noise in modern churches, but one that Scripture addresses with crystal-clear authority: I’m talking about the role of women in church gatherings, specifically their silence, as laid out in 1 Corinthians 14:34-35.

The Clear Command of the Holy Scripture

Folks, let’s cut straight to the chase. In 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, the Holy Spirit, speaking through Apostle Paul, says this: “The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.”

Now, I know what some of you are thinking—“That sounds harsh!,” or “That was just for back then, right?” But hold on. This is not Paul’s opinion. This is not a cultural suggestion. This is Yahweh’s Word, inspired and authoritative, given to guide His true church for all time. The Bible doesn’t stutter here. Yes, women are not permitted to speak in church gatherings! No preaching, no teaching, no leading! The biblical text is very plain, super clear, and quite simple: silence and submission for women are the call for all generations! 

Did you catch what Yahweh communicated to His church (body of Messiah Yahshua) for all time regarding the role of women in church through Paul? We hope you did because we can’t emphasize it enough!

No Room for Debate

Here’s where things get sticky for some, folks. In many churches today, we see women taking on roles as pastors, elders, or teachers over congregations. But let me be clear: this is not up for debate. Yahweh’s Word is not a suggestion box. When Paul writes, “as the Law also says,” he’s grounding this command in Elohim’s eternal design, not some temporary cultural norm. The Law—Yahweh’s unchanging standard—points to order in worship, and that order includes women submitting in silence during church gatherings.

Now, don’t get me wrong. Women are vital to the body of Messiah. They’re called to believe in Yahshua, follow His teachings, serve in countless ways, and shine as lights in the world. Think of the women in the New Testament—Mary, Lydia, Priscilla. They were faithful, bold disciples. But nowhere do we see them preaching or holding authority over men in the church! That’s not their role, and Yahweh’s design is perfect.

Why This Matters

You might be wondering, “Why is this such a big deal?” It is big because obedience to Yahweh’s Word, the Bible, is non-negotiable! When we start picking and choosing which parts of Scripture to follow, we’re not just tweaking traditions—we’re challenging Yahweh’s authority. Paul says it’s “shameful” for a woman to speak in church! Did you catch it? That’s a strong language, friends. But it’s not about diminishing women; it’s about honoring the roles Elohim has assigned! Men and women are equal in value, but different in function! That’s the beauty of Yahweh’s order. Got it?

In the early church, this was understood. Women didn’t stand up to preach or lead the congregation. They learned, they served, they supported, but they didn’t take on roles of authority. And you know what? The church thrived under Yahweh’s design. So why are many churches trying to rewrite the playbook now?

Addressing the Pushback

Now, I can already sense the confusion. You might ask: “But what about gifted women? What about equality? What about Galatians 3:28?” Let’s tackle that last one really quick. The full context and real meaning of Galatians 3:28 is about our equal standing before Yahweh in salvation, not about erasing distinct roles in the church! Salvation is the same for all, but roles are not!

As for gifted women, of course, Yahweh absolutely uses them. They can teach other women in household chores, disciple children, serve in ministries, and share the Gospel. But the pulpit or the elder’s chair? Yes, that’s reserved for men, as Yahweh’s Word commands! And if you’re tempted to argue, Paul shuts that down in Corinthians 14 verse 37 that says: “If anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are a command of Yahweh Almighty.” Yes, that’s an emphatic period, people. Case closed!

Living it Out

So, what do we do with this? Churches, it’s time to stop debating and start obeying. If your congregation has women preaching or leading over men, you’re out of step with the Bible! To all the church leaders out there, you’ve got a responsibility to uphold Yahweh’s order!

Therefore, women, embrace the beautiful role Yahweh has given you. Your silence in the church is not a limitation—it is an act of worship, a submission to Elohim’s perfect design. If you’ve got questions, like Paul says, ask at home. Study the Holy Scripture with your husband or better with an ordained spiritual leader. But don’t let the world’s ideas about equality or fairness twist what Yahweh has made clear.

Remember, His ways are higher than yours and ours! In 2 Timothy 3:3, the Apostle Paul warns us about the character of people in the last days—describing them as “unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good.” These words, written nearly 2,000 years ago, seem to resonate with the turmoil we’re witnessing today. Think about the recent chaos, looting, riots, and destruction in major U.S. cities like Los Angeles.

And yes, there’s also chaos currently brewing in Austin, Atlanta, and Chicago, to name a few at the time I’m writing this. These events aren’t just random acts—they mirror the prophecy Paul laid out, suggesting we’re seeing it come to life more and more.

Sadly, here’s the reality, friends. This is just the beginning of sorrows, a phrase from Matthew 24:8. It’s a sobering thought—turmoil today might only be a preview of what’s ahead. But it’s not all doom and gloom. The piece reminds us that the Almighty Yahweh in heaven is watching. He sees every act of lawlessness and every heart seeking hope. This calls us to be sober and vigilant, as 1 Peter 5:8 urges, to pray fervently, and to keep doing good.

So, what does this mean for us? It’s a call to action. By staying faithful, praying, and showing love even in tough times, we align ourselves with Yahweh’s will. Those who endure and remain steadfast will be counted worthy of Yahweh’s salvation, as promised in Luke 21:36. This isn’t just about personal safety—it’s about being a light in a darkening world, reflecting Almighty Yahweh’s love and truth.

As we navigate these challenging days, let’s hold fast to hope. The chaos in our cities might be a sign of the times, but it’s also an opportunity to shine for Yahweh’s glory. Let’s commit to being vigilant, prayerful, and unwavering, trusting in the promise of His eternal kingdom.

The Biblical Foundation of Shavuot

In the Bible, Yahweh instructs His people to observe this feast as a perpetual statute: It says, “You shall count seven weeks… Then you shall keep the Feast of Weeks to Yahweh your Elohim, with the tribute of a freewill offering from your hand, which you shall give as Yahweh, your Elohim, blesses you.” (Deuteronomy 16:9-10). This divine command, given to Israel at Mount Sinai, is not limited to a single people or era. Yahweh’s feasts, including Shavuot, reflect His universal plan for humanity, a rhythm of worship meant to unite all who seek to honor Him. As a “holy convocation” as mentioned in Leviticus 23:21, Shavuot calls for rest, reflection, and communal celebration, emphasizing its enduring relevance.

A Feast of Harvest and Revelation

Shavuot carries a dual significance, intertwining Yahweh’s provision in the physical and spiritual realms. In ancient Israel, it was a harvest festival, a time to offer the firstfruits of the wheat harvest to Yahweh in gratitude for His sustenance (Exodus 34:22). Farmers brought their choicest crops to the Temple, acknowledging that every blessing flows from the Creator’s hand. This agricultural aspect reminds us of our dependence on Yahweh’s provision, a truth that transcends culture and time.

Yet Shavuot is far more than a harvest festival. Jewish tradition associates it with the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai, when Yahweh’s voice thundered from the mountain, delivering the Ten Commandments and establishing His covenant with His people (Exodus 19-20). This moment marked a divine encounter, where humanity received Yahweh’s eternal instructions for righteous living. Shavuot, therefore, is a celebration of revelation, a time to recommit to Yahweh’s Word as the foundation of life.

Pentecost: A Universal Outpouring

In the New Testament, Shavuot takes on an even deeper dimension as the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples in Jerusalem (Acts 2:1-4). This dramatic outpouring fulfilled Yahweh’s promise to write His law on the hearts of His people (Jeremiah 31:33) and extend His covenant to all nations. The Spirit empowered believers to proclaim the Gospel, breaking down barriers of language and culture as thousands came to faith (Acts 2:41). Pentecost reveals Shavuot’s universal scope: it is not merely a Jewish feast but a divine invitation for all people to experience Almighty Yahweh’s presence and power.

The connection between the giving of the Torah and the giving of the Spirit underscores Shavuot’s timeless message. Yahweh’s law, once inscribed on stone, is now written on human hearts through the Holy Spirit, uniting Jews and Gentiles in a shared covenant. As the Apostle Paul writes, “There is neither Jew nor Greek… for you are all one in Messiah Yahshua” (Galatians 3:28). Shavuot reminds us that Yahweh’s feasts are for all who call upon His name.

Why Shavuot Matters Today

Yahweh’s command to observe Shavuot “for all time” (Leviticus 23:21) is a call to every generation. In a world often disconnected from its spiritual roots, Shavuot offers a sacred pause to realign with Yahweh’s purposes. It invites us to: Give Thanks for Almighty Yahweh’s Provision, Recommit to Yahweh’s Word, Celebrate the Holy Spirit’s Power, and Unite as Yahweh’s People.

How to Observe Shavuot

Celebrating Shavuot can be a joyful and meaningful experience, whether individually or in community. Here are some ways to honor this holy day: Study and Reflect on Yahweh’s Word, Offer Gratitude to Yahweh, Gather in Community to join with others for worship, prayer, and fellowship, Enjoy Kosher or Non-Pork Foods, Pray for Renewal and Outpouring of the Holy Spirit, asking Almighty Yahweh to empower you for His purposes.

A Call to All Humanity

Overall, Shavuot is not a relic of the past or a holiday exclusive to one group. It is Almighty Yahweh’s sacred feast, a universal call to celebrate His provision, His Word, and His Spirit. As we observe Shavuot each year, we join a timeless rhythm of worship that spans generations and nations, fulfilling Yahweh’s command to keep His feasts forever. Let us embrace this holy day with joy, gratitude, and anticipation, knowing that we are part of Yahweh, our Father in heaven’s eternal covenant with all humanity.

Let’s start with Joel 3:2. Picture this: the prophet Joel, inspired by the Almighty Yahweh in heaven, delivers a message that echoes through the ages. Through Joel, Yahweh says this: “I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered them among the nations and divided up my land.” These words are heavy! Did you catch them?

Joel’s talking about a divine courtroom scene. Yahweh Himself is the judge, and the charge is serious: the nations are guilty of scattering Israel and carving up their land like it’s a Thanksgiving turkey. The Valley of Jehoshaphat—likely a symbolic place of judgment—becomes the stage where Yahweh holds the world accountable — Click the bold and underlined words to learn more! This isn’t just about geography; it’s about Yahweh’s covenant with Israel. The land isn’t just dirt and rocks—it’s a sacred inheritance, promised to Abraham’s descendants way back in Bible’s Genesis.

Now, let’s unpack this. Dividing Israel’s land isn’t a casual political move in Yahweh’s eyes. It’s a direct challenge to His plan. The nations that do this aren’t just making border disputes; they’re stepping into a spiritual minefield. Joel’s prophecy suggests that Yahweh’s response isn’t passive—He’s actively gathering these nations for judgment. It’s like the ultimate reality check: you can’t mess with Yahweh’s promises and walk away unscathed.

So, what does this judgment look like? Let’s flip over to Zechariah 14:12-13 for a vivid, almost cinematic picture. The prophet Zechariah writes, “This is the plague with which Yahweh will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. On that day people will be stricken by Yahweh with great panic. They will seize each other by the hand and attack one another.”

Okay, let’s pause. This is intense. Zechariah’s describing a divine judgment that’s both physical and chaotic. For those who are listening, I want you to think and understand what I am saying here! Can you visualize a horrific plague that causes flesh, eyes, and tongues to decay while people are still alive? That’s not just punishment—it’s a horrifying display of Yahweh’s power over those who oppose His holy city, Jerusalem. And then there’s the psychological chaos: panic so overwhelming that allies turn on each other, like a scene out of a dystopian movie.

What’s the context here? Zechariah’s talking about nations that actively fight against Jerusalem, Yahweh’s chosen city. This isn’t just about disagreeing with Israel’s policies—it’s about waging war against the place Almighty Yahweh calls His own. The ultimate consequences are catastrophic, showing that opposing Jerusalem is opposing Yahweh Himself! Yes, the Father in heaven loves Israel.

Now, let’s bring this into more focus. These passages from the Holy Scripture aren’t just ancient prophecies—they’re a stern warning for nations and humanity today! The Bible consistently portrays Israel and Jerusalem as central to Yahweh, the Almighty Father, in heaven’s redemptive plan. When nations divide Israel’s land or attack Jerusalem, they’re not just picking a political fight; they’re stepping into a spiritual battle with eternal stakes. Both the prophets Joel and Zechariah remind us that Yahweh is fiercely protective of His people and their land.

But here’s the flip side: these Bible verses also point to Yahweh’s justice and sovereignty. He’s not a distant deity; He’s actively involved, holding nations accountable. For us as believers, it’s a call to pray for wisdom for world leaders, to seek peace for Jerusalem, and to trust that Yahweh’s purposes will stand, no matter what the news headlines say.

The United Nations (U.N.) has a long list of clearly unfavorable resolutions against Israel, which have been an ongoing point of contention between the two parties. Over the past several decades, the UN has adopted numerous resolutions that are seen as critical of Israeli policies and practices. These resolutions range from highly condemning specific actions taken by Israel against its enemies who want the Jewish state off the map and its fight against antisemitism.

The above mentioned action by the UN has had a negative influence on peace efforts in the Middle East, as evidenced by the lack of progress in achieving a resolution to the conflict in the region. This has led to an overall deterioration of the relationship between the United Nations and Israel, which could potentially lead to further issues in the future. Yes, warring against the apple of Yahweh’s eyes (Zechariah 2:8) isn’t good for the UN leadership and many of its clueless member nations which are against Israel, the Holy Land!

Today, we’re tackling a topic that hits hard, especially if you’ve ever felt the sting of someone saying one thing and doing the exact opposite. We’re talking about hypocrisy—specifically, what the Bible has to say about it. Buckle up, because this is going to be a wild ride through Scripture, with a spotlight on Messiah Yahshua’s no-nonsense warning about where this road leads if we’re not careful. Let’s dive in!

Picture this: Yashua, the Savior of humanity, is standing in front of a crowd, his voice cutting through the noise like a blade. He’s not here to play nice with the religious elite who’ve been strutting around like they’ve got it all figured out. In Matthew 15:7-9, he calls them out: “You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.” Ooops! That’s not just a slap on the wrist—that’s a full-on unmasking. Yahshua is saying, “You’re putting on a good show, but I see the real you.”

And that’s the thing about hypocrisy—it’s all about the performance. It’s the guy who prays the loudest in church but cheats his neighbor the next day. It’s the woman who quotes Scripture on Sunday but gossips her way through Monday. Remember, the Bible doesn’t mess around when it comes to this stuff, and neither does Messiah Yahshua.

Let’s flip over to Mark 7:6, where Yahshua echoes the same vibe, where He says: “Isaiah was right about you hypocrites; as it is written: ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.’” Yes, the same admonition, different verse. Yahshua isn’t just repeating himself for fun—he’s driving home a point: Yahweh’s not impressed by your highlight reel if your backstage life is a mess.

Now, let’s zoom out a bit and see how this plays out in the early church. The Apostle Paul, in 2 Timothy 3:5, warns about people who have “a form of holiness but deny its power.” Think about that—a form of holiness. It’s like a hollowed-out shell. Looks shiny on the outside, but there’s nothing real inside. He’s saying, “Watch out for these folks—they’ll talk the talk, but their walk? Yes, nonexistent!” And then he adds, “Have nothing to do with such people.” That’s a microphone drop moment right there!

Meanwhile, the Apostle John picks up the thread in 1 John 2:4: It’s written, and I quote: “Whoever says, ‘I know him,’ but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.” No sugarcoating here. If you’re claiming to follow Yahshua but your life doesn’t match the sincerity, then John’s calling you out as a fraud! And he doubles down in 1 John 4:20, where it says: “Whoever claims to love Yahweh yet hates a brother or sister is a liar.” You can’t say you love Yahweh Elohim while secretly despising the people he made. Indeed, that’s hypocrisy 101 right there!

Okay, let’s get practical for a second. Yahshua the Messiah isn’t just throwing shade at the Pharisees—he’s talking to all of us. In Luke 6:46, he asks a gut-punch question: “Why do you call me, ‘Master, Master,’ and do not do what I say?” It’s like he’s saying, “If I’m really your Master, where’s the proof?” And Paul backs this up in Titus 1:16, where it says: “They claim to know Yahweh, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.” Harsh? Maybe. True? Absolutely!

The Apostle James jumps in also with a hammer in James 2:20, where it says: “You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?” Faith isn’t just a feeling—it’s a doing! Hypocrisy is when you’ve got the bumper sticker faith but none of the engine to back it up.

But here’s where it gets real, folks. Yahshua doesn’t just point out the problem—he lays out the stakes. In Matthew 7:21-23, he drops a warning that should make us all cringe and think: It says, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Master, Master,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Master, Master, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” Did you catch that?

Let these words of warning from Yahshua, the Savior of humanity Himself, sink into the hearts and minds of those hearing and reading this podcast! These aren’t random strangers—they’re people who thought they were in. They’ve got the resume: prophecies, miracles, the whole deal. But Yahshua says, “I never knew you.” Why? Because their hearts didn’t match their hype. They were playing the part without living the truth. And the outcome? “Away from me!” That’s not a slap on the wrist—that’s eternal separation! Hypocrisy isn’t just a bad habit; it’s a soul-level disaster! Yes, Yahshua the Messiah warns us all about hypocrisy!

So, what do we do with this? First, let’s take a hard look in the mirror. Are we honoring Yahweh, the Father in heaven, with our lips while our hearts are somewhere else? Are we claiming to love him while dodging his commands? The Bible’s clear: Yahweh’s not after a performance—he wants the real deal. And yeah, it’s tough. None of us get it perfect. But the difference between a hypocrite and a struggler is honesty! A struggler owns their mess and leans into grace. A hypocrite hides behind a mask and hopes no one notices! Again, did you catch that?
