Today, we gather for a holy and deeply meaningful appointed time of Yahweh Almighty. The Eighth Day is not simply an ending to the Feast—it carries its own significance in Scripture.
In Numbers 29:35, Yahweh commanded, “On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly.” This shows us that the Eighth Day was established and practiced among His people in the Old Testament.
And then, in John 7:37, we see the Messiah standing on the last and great day of the feast, proclaiming, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”
What a powerful connection! The Eighth Day appears in both the Old and New Testaments, reminding us of its importance and continuing relevance within Yahweh’s appointed holy days.
So today, let us come with grateful hearts, spiritually thirsty and ready to receive from Yahweh. Let us reflect on His promises, rejoice in His Word, and look forward with hope to the fulfillment of His great plan.
Brothers and sisters, may Yahweh bless you, strengthen you, and fill you with His Spirit.
Have a blessed and meaningful Last Great Day. Shalom!
